Before you install

  1. When Android refuses the install, it is the unknown-sources guard doing it. Grant this app permission in Settings, then confirm the install when the prompt comes back.
  2. An "incompatible version" message usually means the build was compiled for the older ARMv7 processors that recent phones no longer accept. Look for the ARM64 (ARMv8) build of the same version instead.

Download FAQs

What does Block-Spam do?

Block-Spam checks incoming calls and SMS messages from unreliable or unknown numbers. It identifies numbers, detects suspected spam, and lets you block contacts so later calls do not continue reaching you.

What does the Premium Unlocked MOD change?

This build is labeled Premium Unlocked. The label identifies the modified version of Block-Spam available here.

How does the blacklist work in Block-Spam?

You can add or remove contacts from the blacklist, including contacts you want to monitor. Block-Spam can also identify spam contacts automatically and add them to the list. Wildcards with an international prefix can catch new number ranges.

What changed in the latest Block-Spam update?

Call filtering was made faster after some phones allowed calls that should have been blocked to get through. The update also fixes duplicate silenced-call entries, contact selection closing the app, and wildcard handling for international prefixes. It now warns you when Android restricts the app in the background and opens the relevant fix screen.

What Android version does Block-Spam require?

Block-Spam requires Android 8.0 or later to install. The listed download size is 10.2 MB. Android may show a prompt about allowing installation from this source, and the choice remains yours.

Nothing happens when I tap download

Refresh the page and start again — each link is signed for one visit and stops working after that. If it keeps failing, the file is probably being swapped for a newer build; give it a few minutes.

Android says "App not installed"

Usually there is already a copy of the same app on the phone, signed by someone else. Remove that copy first, then install this file — and back up anything you care about inside the app beforehand, because uninstalling wipes it.
