Before you install

  1. When Android refuses the install, it is the unknown-sources guard doing it. Grant this app permission in Settings, then confirm the install when the prompt comes back.
  2. An "incompatible version" message usually means the build was compiled for the older ARMv7 processors that recent phones no longer accept. Look for the ARM64 (ARMv8) build of the same version instead.

Download FAQs

What is PROTO used for?

PROTO is a circuit simulator for building and running electronic circuits in real time. It shows animated current flow, can light LEDs during a simulation, and lets you change component values while the circuit remains active.

What does the Premium Unlocked MOD change?

Premium Unlocked is the MOD label for this build. PROTO still includes its stated circuit simulation tools, such as the oscilloscope, sensor inputs, and JavaScript support for custom ICs.

What digital logic components can I use in PROTO?

PROTO includes NAND and NOR gates, Flip-flops, 7400 TTL chips, and 4000 CMOS chips. You can use them for projects such as counters and seven-segment decoders, while version 1.52.0 adds the 4518 and 4520 counters.

Can PROTO use my phone's sensors in a circuit?

Yes. The light sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope can be used as circuit inputs. This allows a circuit to react to readings from the phone.

What Android version is required for PROTO?

PROTO requires Android 7.0 or later to install. Android may ask whether you want to allow installs from this source, and that choice remains yours.

Nothing happens when I tap download

Refresh the page and start again — each link is signed for one visit and stops working after that. If it keeps failing, the file is probably being swapped for a newer build; give it a few minutes.

Android says "App not installed"

Usually there is already a copy of the same app on the phone, signed by someone else. Remove that copy first, then install this file — and back up anything you care about inside the app beforehand, because uninstalling wipes it.
