Description
Proton VPN Mod APK is a VPN app that lets you protect your browsing while using public Wi-Fi and other internet connections. It combines encryption tools with connection controls intended to reduce exposure when your connection drops.
Privacy protection
Proton VPN Mod APK uses data encryption to protect your internet activity. Its No Logs option is intended to keep your browsing history private, while Full-Disk Encryption is presented as protection against cyberattacks.
The Kill Switch handles unexpected connection interruptions. When the VPN connection drops, it is designed to prevent data leaks instead of leaving your traffic exposed.
Bandwidth and connection speed
Proton VPN Mod APK offers unlimited bandwidth, so you can use data without a stated usage limit. It also includes Accelerator Technology, which is described as increasing internet connection speeds by up to 400%.
Blocking ads and trackers
NetShield blocks malicious ads and is designed to prevent website tracking. This tool keeps ad and tracking protection separate from the VPN connection controls.

Mod Review
This build fits people who want Proton VPN Mod APK's Kill Switch and NetShield tools alongside the Premium Unlocked label. It is less suitable for anyone uncomfortable with an app collecting an email address, user IDs, phone number, purchase history, and crash logs. The current release notes only mention under-the-hood work for future UI improvements, so there is no feature change to weigh here. Android 8.0 or later is required to install it.
The MOD in practice
This build is labeled Premium Unlocked. The label identifies the modification applied to this version. Proton VPN Mod APK's encryption, Kill Switch, unlimited bandwidth, Accelerator Technology, and NetShield remain the app functions described for the product. The Google Play release notes describe minor internal changes for future interface improvements.
What works
- The Kill Switch is designed to prevent data leaks when the VPN connection unexpectedly stops.
- Unlimited bandwidth removes a stated data limit for people who use the connection frequently.
- Accelerator Technology is described as increasing internet connection speeds by up to 400%.
- NetShield blocks malicious ads and aims to prevent tracking by websites during browsing.
What to watch
- Proton VPN Mod APK collects email addresses, user IDs, phone numbers, purchase history, and crash logs.
- The 53.8 MB file requires a device running Android 8.0 or later to install.
- Future UI improvements are only being prepared through minor under-the-hood changes in this release.
Our take
Install it if the listed VPN protection tools and Premium Unlocked label match what you need. Check the app's data collection first, especially if email, phone number, purchase history, or identifiers are a concern.
