Mod Review
This build suits people who want to watch supported streaming content with friends while using text or voice chat. It also fits group music sessions and Google Drive movie nights. Skip it if you do not want an app that collects identifiers, location data, app interactions and search history. The latest release notes mention bug fixes and other improvements, so the build may differ from an earlier release.
The MOD in practice
The MOD is labeled Premium Unlocked. That label is the stated change from the free Google Play listing. Rave’s listed watch parties, text chat, voice chat, shared music and Google Drive viewing remain the product’s core activities.
What works
- Watch parties bring supported Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and HBO Max content into group viewing.
- Text and voice chat let you discuss movies, shows and videos during a shared session.
- Music sharing lets friends stream and listen together from different locations.
- Google Drive video sharing supports movie nights built around shared files.
What to watch
- Google Play lists device or other IDs, names, email addresses and user IDs among collected data.
- Approximate and precise location, diagnostics, crash logs, app interactions and search history are also collected.
- The 98.2 MB build requires Android 7.0 or newer, and online party features depend on connectivity.
Our take
