Melee attacks consume stamina, while gunshots draw the horde. Sneaking, turning off the flashlight, and waiting can be the safer choice when fighting would make too much noise.

Face zombies that react

Zombies can see, hear, and remember. They follow noise, break doors, climb through windows, and move through the streets in packs. Their numbers rise at night, when darkness makes movement and awareness harder.

Prepare for changing conditions

Pinecrest has a full day and night cycle along with rain, storms, and fog. Power and water fail as time passes, so you can use planks and nails to barricade windows and doors and choose a safe house before night.

Reach an ending

A child speaks through the police radio, a doctor leaves letters behind, and the military is connected to the situation in Pinecrest. You have five days before evacuation, and your choices lead to one of five endings.

Build your survivor

You can choose from seven occupations and 13 traits, customize your survivor's appearance, level up six skills, and use skill books to learn faster. Touch controls are designed for phones, and the hand-drawn town map uses markers to help you navigate.

Auto-save supports short sessions or longer play periods. The game is available in English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Indonesian, Japanese, and Korean.

Build a base and travel

You can build a base with walls, doors, windows, floors, roofs, and stairs for two- and three-storey houses. Furniture can also be moved around inside your shelter.

A panel van and a wood-panelled station wagon appear on the map. Vehicle details include starter, brake, and tyre sounds, tailpipe smoke, blood that washes off in rain, and solid road barriers. The update also adds smoother movement, a visible backpack, a sleeping bag, sleep and reading animations, and an easier-to-read mechanic screen.
